Police Story 4: Jackie Chan’s First Strike

Supercop Chan Ka-Kui is back – and this time he takes on the Russian mafia. With some nuclear warheads on the lose Chan Ka-Kui needs to travel half way around the world to save the day. If he succeeds? Yup. Jackie is the man!

But plot isn’t what makes this movie great. What makes it great is Jackie Chan’s persona. Watching him use his terrific body language, act in the most hyperactive way you can imagine and kick the you-know-what out of the bad guys is reason enough to just love this movie!

Director is Stanley Tong, who also directed Police Story 3: Supercop and Rumble in the Bronx and once again the cooperation between him and Jackie results in a fast and funny action film. In other words: Never a dull moment – just plain action from the first minute to the last. And – of course – some really inventive and memorable stunts and fight scenes. How about Jackie – in the most ridiculous fur hat you could possibly imagine – jumping on to a helicopter and then straight into freezing cold water? Or watching him fight off a bunch of kung fu guys with a ladder? It’s just terrific!

Of course the comedy is a prominent feature as well. There is a hilarious scene involving a very special brand of underwear as well as a version of “I will follow him” that is interesting to say the least…

So the question is: What are you waiting for? Go watch it!
